windows_7_graphicAccording to Microsoft, they released the RC for Windows 7. Entertaining thing about it, it expires June 1st 2010 but on March 1st 2010, it will begin to shut down your system every two hours as a “friendly reminder” from Microsoft to upgrade to the purchased copy.

  • Watch the calendar. – The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010. You’ll also need to install the programs and data that you want to use

As if the “Your updates are installed and your system must restart for them to take effect” reminder wasn’t annoying enough…

Bus Stop encourages you to visit the Gym?

bus_stop_weighing_scale_fitness_first_netherlandsFitness First in Netherlands has installed a weighing machine to the bench in bus stops as an advertising ploy. When you sit on the bench, a screen on the side publicly displays your weight.

Now, there is no warning that you are about to sit on a scale and I am guessing that this is going to create an issue with some bus travelling people. Apparently, Fitness First wants to shame you into visiting their gyms. Good plan.
